Made in the cheese factory of Tholy, a small mountain village in the Vosges region, Montagnard Crémeux des Vosges has a typical taste of its terroir. The thin orangey washed rind has a delicate and creamy paste with a frank and autentic aroma. Montagnard is a cheese for the connoisseur. If you like rustic and flavourful cheese, you would definitely appreciate it.

This is a really nice soft creamy cheese. There’s almost a sweetness to it as well as well-balanced rustic aromas. But this is far from being “stinky cheese” – for me it’s the cheese that brie wishes it could be! Definitely a repeat buy for me even though a 500g portion is quite a lot.
There was no collar band of pine, BTW, and I don’t detect that flavour, so I think that might be an error in thedescription.
