Since it was acquired by the Dassault family in 1955, former Château de la Couperie has not ceased to make progress. All this Grand Cru Classé vineyards have been enhanced while respecting the century old terroir.
The nose of this Saint-Emilion is fruity, seductive and elegant, showing a very ripe fruit (plum, berry fruits). The palate is elegant, fresh, delicate and offers power and a beautiful juicy fruitiness. Plenty of vanilla and oak, a lovely fresh acidity with elegant resolved fine tannins. The length is nice and offers an attractive candy final.
This wine complements dishes like pepper-crusted beef, veal, and lamb exceptionally well. If you’re serving cheese, opt for uncooked pressed varieties such as Gouda, Saint-Nectaire, Morbier, and Salers.
Food Pairing:
