Tequila is the end product of the cooking, maceration, fermentation and distillation of one species of Agave only, the Blue Weber Agave.
Crafted by a local artisan distillery in Amatitán, Código 1530 tequila is made using a private recipe. It starts with fully-matured agave, cooked in stainless steel ovens, then fermented and distilled twice in stills. The tequila is carefully aged in French White Oak red wine barrels from Napa Valley, a departure from traditional American whiskey barrels. This unique aging process results in a tequila known for its clean elegance and delicate finish. “Código” translates to “code,” reflecting the commitment to preserving centuries-old customs and traditions in the production of this tequila.
The aromas of cracked pepper, lime zest, and cut grass on the nose gives way to underripe kiwi and pepper notes. The finish is invigorating with a reminiscent agave sweetness.as well.
