From the historic vineyards of Amboise in the Loire Valley, Vines & Terroirs is a curated wine house founded in 2015 by Charles Soulisse Plou and Valentin Maurel, heirs to French winemaking dynasties with roots over twenty generations. This passionate company bridges tradition and innovation, selecting wines that tell authentic stories of their terroir. The Touraine Amboise AOC Les Hauts d’Artigny from Domaine Plou & Fils carries a remarkable heritage, with the Plou family cultivating vines since 1508.

This cuvée takes its name from the prestigious Château d’Artigny, whose vineyards now supply the domaine. Crafted from 100% Côt, or Malbec, this wine is a tribute to a historic variety flourishing on clay limestone slopes. The taste is robust and complex, revealing a deep ruby colour with purple reflections. On the nose, it offers ripe black fruits, blackberry, black cherry, and plum, with spicy notes of pepper and liquorice. The palate is full and structured, with velvety tannins and a mineral freshness. The finish is long, with dark chocolate and dried herbs. Serve between 16 and 18°C. Pair with grilled red meats, roasted lamb, or aged cheeses like Comté. It also shines with boeuf bourguignon or a mushroom risotto. A true expression of Touraine terroir and centuries of family excellence.
