The Jurassien aperitif by excellence. The Macvin du Jura is obtained from the unfermented juice of the Savagnin grape variety, to which a third of Marc du Jura is added. It is aged at least for 12 months in oak barrels. Beautiful bright and gold colour with sweet, candied and fruity aromas of quince paste, hazelnut, dried fruits, brioche, citrus, candied fruits.
Food Pairing:
Foie Gras, Gingerbread, Melon with Bayonna ham, or even Rhum-Raisin/Vanilla Ice Cream

Well I guess this is what you’d expect if you blend grape must with distilled grape spirit. Slight earthy sweetness from the must, an alcohol kick, and sweetness.
For me the whole combination doesn’t really work at all. I tried it well chilled as an aperitif, also with blue cheese, and so on.
