Weight: 250
Cheese Type: Uncooked, Pressed soft cheese with washed rind
The Moelleux des Alpes is a cow milk cheese made in only small quantities. Rare to find, its taste is similar to a creamy raw milk Reblochon, but its Wild Garlic stuffing allows the cheese to have even more character. The wild garlic expresses itself in a balanced and tasteful way thanks to a beautiful refining.
Wine Pairing:
Red wines (Beaujolais)
White wines (Apremont, Gewurztraminer, Riesling, Tokay Pinot Gris)

2 reviews for Moelleux des Alpes with Wild Garlic (Ail des Ours)
Paul C –
I’m normally a fan of eating cheese rinds, but here the rather rough flavour of the rind overwhelms the cheese, so stick with the paste only. Then the garlic adds a little (but, as the previous said, not a lot) of flavour to what is otherwise a fairly bland creamy cheese.
Rain –
It tastes ok but don’t expect a strong wild garlic taste.
