Château Roumieu is a family-owned estate in Haut-Barsac, Sauternes, known for its traditional winemaking and limestone-clay terroir.
The 2019 vintage shows a rich golden-yellow colour with aromas of dried fruit, honey, apricot, pineapple, ginger, orange zest, vanilla, and subtle oak. On the palate, it offers notes of marzipan and walnuts, with a silky texture and a balanced, lingering finish. This elegant wine pairs well with foie gras, blue and salty cheeses like Mimolette or Gruyère, roast chicken, seafood, or as a sweet contrast to dark chocolate.
